Volume 1: Chapter 8 “Shadows”

Ss we close Volume 1 of Something From Beyond, we find Zade being tormented by Jade’s “Shadows”.  These “Shadows” are multi-dimensional, able to exist in the astral world and the real-time, physical world.  Zade occasionally feels them around him, thinking that he sees something out of the corner of his eye, then trying to convince himself that it was nothing, but was it?  He feels like he is being held captive, a prisoner of the unseen and the unknown. They are constantly pulling at his psyche, making him feel like he is being driven mad. They are even in his dreams, haunting him every night.  His only escape is his music room, where he can find peace and quiet, his music his only companion.

But all is not lost.  He has vague memories of his mother, Bijoue.  He sometimes can feel her presence, so close, but yet so far away.  Little does he know that she is forming a plan to help him to fight these unseen and unknown “shadows”, by finding a way to help him in both the astral and real-time worlds…None, no more!!!

Verse

Charcoal clouds have covered the moon tonight. Mist and smoke, they grab my feet so tight.
Dreams of things in a wild and awesome flight. Must escape the fright of a half-moon lit night.

Chorus

A shadow has stolen my smile.  He’ll come and he’ll go and maybe, he’ll stay for a while.
Shadow, oh shadow, shadow have mercy on me.  This isn’t the who or where I wanted to be.

Final verse

We always ran, never had time for THEM.  Shadow go away!
Shadow, you make my heart ache for my world.
The wind, oh it howled, while the shadow growled.
Talk softly, walk softly, not loud.
Shadow hides my smile, behind a charcoal cloud.
